TRADITION
Germany has a great Apfelwein tradition, especially in and around Frankfurt. Shortly after Daniel and his wife Verena moved to Portland, they saw the local cider community growing and started to make their own traditional German style Apfelwein.
THE CREST
The crest is a family crest of Daniel's family. His uncle designed the crest and it is registered in the German family crest register. The crest is a great connection to German tradition and family history.
THE BARN
This is where it all started in Austin's dad's barn. The first overnight pressing happened here and many tastings with friends. We also started a small orchard with a select variety of special cider apples.
